Changing the Email Address for Your Ring Account

Learn how to update the email address you use to sign in to your Ring account.

Updating your Ring account Email

You can change the email address you use for Ring in the Ring app or your account at Ring.com. When entering your new email address, double check you've typed it correctly.

From the Ring app:

    1. Open the Ring app.
    2. Tap the menu (☰) and scroll down to Control Center.
    3. Tap Account Management.
    4. Under Email, tap Update.
    5. You'll be asked to re-enter your password.
    6. You'll then be asked to enter your sign-in code. Help me find my verification code.
    7. Enter and confirm your new email address.
    8. Tap Change Email.
    9. You'll be signed out of your Ring account, and you'll receive a email verify notification to your updated email address. 
    10. Tap the button in the email notification, and sign back in to Ring.

From your desktop or mobile browser:

    1. Log in to your account at Ring.com.
      • If you're on desktop: tap the Dashboard home icon at the top, then Account.
      • If you're on mobile: tap the top menu (☰).
    2. Scroll down to Control Center.
    3. Click Account Management.
    4. Under Email, click Update.
    5. You'll be asked to re-enter your password.
    6. You'll then be asked to enter your sign-in code. Help me find my verification code.
    7. Enter and confirm your new email address.
    8. Click Change Email.
    9. You'll be signed out of your Ring account, and you'll receive a email verify notification to your updated email address. 
    10. Click the button in the email notification, and sign back in to Ring.

Troubleshooting your Email address change

Look for the notification sent to your updated email address.
If you recently updated the email for your Ring account, you'll receive a verification to your new email address. Tap the button in the notification to verify your new email address. This link is only valid for 24 hours. If you missed this window, you can request a new email verify notification when attempting to sign in to the Ring app or your account at Ring.com.

Check your spam folder. 
Although we take measures to deliver notifications to your inbox, it can be sent to your spam folder.

I don't have access to my Ring account email address.
You can still log in to your account with your password and your preferred verification method: by Text Message or Authenticator App. When you have successfully signed in, you can update your Email.
