Receiving a Confirmation Call When you Cancel an Accidental Alarm

When false alarms happen and you can't disarm* your Ring Alarm within the entry delay time, the Confirmation Call feature gives you peace of mind.

*Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for in-app features and digital notifications, including digital arming / disarming and integration with other Ring, Echo, Alexa, and third party products. Subscription sold separately. View ring.com/protect-plans for pricing and details.

When you turn on the Confirmation Call, your first emergency contact will get an automated phone call if you disarm your Ring Alarm after the alarm sounds, but before the monitoring center calls.

Turning on or off the Confirmation Call:

  1. Open the Ring app.
  2. Tap on the menu (☰).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Monitoring Settings.
  5. Toggle the Confirmation Call setting on or off.

Important!
All professionally monitored Ring Alarm systems will have this setting off by default.

Neighbors within the US and Canada (excluding Quebec) with Ring Alarm and are signed up for Professional Monitoring can experience an alarming event and Confirmation Call without the worry of triggering a false alarm while in Practice Mode. Exit Practice Mode by changing your practice mode settings in the monitoring settings screen and jump back in to refresh your skills at any time.
