If the Outdoor Siren communications test didn’t pass, we recommend trying several options.
- Move the Outdoor Siren a few inches and try again. Sometimes just moving it a bit higher, lower, to the left or to the right can solve the issue.
- Plug in a Range Extender indoors somewhere between Ring Alarm and the Outdoor Siren.
- Try moving your Base Station to another spot in your home closer to the Outdoor Siren.
After you try each of these steps, run the communications test again by tapping the “Test” button in the Outdoor Siren’s battery compartment.
If the LED turns green, your test was successful. If the LED turns red still, we recommend that you select a new installation location to ensure the device can communicate with the alarm system.
