Charging the Battery on Your Video Doorbell or Security Camera

Check your battery level and charge your device's battery.

How to check your battery charge in the Ring app

  1. Open the Ring app.

  2. Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.

  3. Tap Devices.
    • Tap the Ring device you want to check.
  4. Tap Device Health.
    • Battery Level is displayed under Power.

When you remove your battery to charge, the Ring app won’t show the device's updated battery percentage until the battery is reinserted and your device is reconnected to wifi. If the battery charge is below 20%, it can take 5-10 hours to fully charge depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet.

If you want to avoid downtime while your battery is charging, you can purchase a spare Quick Release Battery Pack.
