To use Map View, you'll need to:
- Have the latest version of the Ring app.

Enable the Ring Alexa Skill.
- If you don't turn on the Alexa Skill feature, your app will display an error.
- Make sure your Amazon and Ring accounts are linked.
- Check that the email address that you're using for your Ring account is the same one as your Amazon account.
- Have a registered Location in your Ring app.
- You may also need to update the operating system on your mobile device.

Map View tile shows old location (moved)
A simple fix is to turn off Map View and turn it on again. This will start a new setup and you can set property outlines and pin devices again.

For Map View to work properly, check the following: 1. Ring account and Amazon accounts must be linked (using the same email address). 2. Ring Alexa skill must be turned on 3. Be signed into your Amazon account on the Ring app. 4. Provide consent for Alexa-connected devices during set up.
Home not showing in satellite view
Use your best estimate and draw property/building outlines. New construction or homes covered by trees may not be visible in a satellite image.
Map view outlines and devices disappeared, How do I fix it?
If you got the “Map View is configured incorrectly” error message, there are two paths from there you can press “RE-ENROLL MAP VIEW” from there, you’ll be taking through a setup flow to confirm your address, confirm your map style, confirm your building outline, confirm your property outline, and confirm devices that are already pinned to the map. Or, you can press “TURN OFF MAP VIEW” and the map tile will be removed from the main dashboard, however your floor plan and devices pinned data will be saved and you can re-use it if you decide to re-enrol in the feature again in the future.
How do I sync my floor plan with my other Ring locations?
Floor plans across different locations are synced automatically onto one map when you are on the latest app version. Your default floor plan will be the one closest to your ring location.
How do I move my floor plan to a new location?
To move your floor plan to a new location, Turn off Map View and then re-enrol in the feature again from there, you’ll be taking through a setup flow to confirm your new address, select your map style, define your property boundaries, assign floors, and begin pinning devices to the map.
How do I sync Map View in the Ring app with Alexa app?
To take advantage of Map View already setup on the Alexa app, you will need to take the following steps:
1) Link your Ring and Amazon account
2) Enable the Ring Alexa Skill
3) sign into your Amazon account in the Ring app
4) authorize the ability to see Ring devices from Alexa services.
5) Enable the Alexa app to access your location/address
From there, you’ll be taking through a setup flow to confirm your address, select your map style, confirm your building outline, confirm your property outline, and confirm devices that are already pinned to the map. When the sync is completed, if you repined a device in Alexa app, the device placement will also change in the Ring app.
How to use Field of View Cones
Field of View Cones are off by default and can be turned on by going to Map View settings, Map Settings, and selecting "Show Fields of View."

Manually adjust the outlines on the map to a view that looks more accurate.

Manually adjust the anchor points to align with your property.
Security cameras and doorbells are too close together on map
Devices that overlap or are positioned closely together will be clustered together. Pinch to zoom to un-cluster the devices and take a closer look.
How do I delete all my map view data?
If you turned off the Map View feature, floor plan data and devices pinned will be automatically saved so you can re-use it if you decide to re-enrol in the feature again in the future. You can still delete individual devices from the Map View settings or delete the Map View feature from your Alexa app and all Map View data will be automatically deleted.
